Diabolus Brett – Cask Aged Imperial Russian Stout – Durham Brewery
Each batch of Diabolus has been a variation on the theme of Temptation. This edition has been matured in an oak hogshead with Brettanomyces for over two years. Aromas hint at muscovado sugar, dried fruit and vanilla-oak, while the rich, deep dark body has notes of Christmas cake and sherry.
This beer is absolutely amazing, buy one to try and several to mature over time.
(There were only 226 bottles produced)
I’d definitely recommend trying Durham’s Imperious too!
