Tom’s Tap and Brewhouse Barley Wine
This is an American style Barleywine hopped with Centennial with orange peel and it is an absolute stunner.
When I took my first sip of this it took me back to my earliest memories of sampling USA barley wines, AleSmith Old Numbskull, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, Anchor Old Foghorn and many more, in fact, I recall saying it reminded me of Stone Brewing’s Old Guardian, high praise indeed.
It was so good I immediately ordered a case of twelve from Sean Ayling, head brewer at Toms, not for you lot, for me, and I drank the lot in less than a fortnight. I don’t think I’ve ever got close to drinking that amount of barley wine from anyone.
Anyway, I’ve repented on my gluttony and have procured a case for you lot, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
