Tynt Meadow English Trappist Ale – 2018 (Collectors Take Note – 1st Release)

£6.00

Description

Trappist beers tend to be named after the place in which the monastery is situated. We’ve called ours ‘Tynt Meadow’, to honour the link with the plot of land on which monastic life was refounded here in the Midlands almost two centuries ago. Being part of the great Trappist tradition, we’ve chosen to produce a strong dark ale, but one with a clearly English character.

Tynt Meadow is mahogany-coloured, with a subtle, warm red hue, and a lasting beige head. Its aroma carries hints of dark chocolate, liquorice, and rich fruit flavours. The beer is full-bodied, gently balancing the taste of dark chocolate, pepper, and fig. It leaves a warm and dry finish on the palate.

2018 Collectors Launch Edition – Please Read

Tynt Meadow was officially unveiled on 25th June 2018, back then I thought it would be a rather splendid idea to squirrel some away to be a collectors piece for beer aficionados a few years down the line. Well, I’ve raided the nut store and now feels a good time to send them out into the world.

As you can see from the labels, they are the first batch out of the monastery brewhouse, and importantly to note, have a Best Before Date of  09/06/2020.

*Disclaimer – I have tried to look after them whilst in my care, but as anyone who ages beer knows, it can be a bit of a lottery as the actual drinking can vary from year to year, so for those reason, I need to make that clear as can’t be responsible should they disappoint if and when you do open yours.
